California State Contracts

Elwyn CA operates all state contracts through CARI, a statewide nonprofit agency whose mission is to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This is made possible through the Welfare and Institution Code 19404 (WIC) for a network of certified, community-based nonprofit agencies.

The CARI Program is a coordinated effort by the rehabilitation community, the California State Legislature and a consortium of government agencies to employ persons with disabilities. The partnership of CARI and Elwyn CA has resulted in 3 custodial contracts, providing about 9 jobs. Everyone acquires job skills, training, and gains greater independence.
